2026-Present:
|
In 2026, Mississippi State made some updates to the Dudy Noble Field playing surface ahead of the start of the Brian O'Connor era. These changes included replacing the "banner" logos in the 1B and 3B foul territory with a sponsored "BankFirst" logo and adding the iconic "M over S" logo behind home plate, replacing the home plate area turf with dirt, and adding dirt baselines. Turf remains on the warning tracks and in all other foul territory.
These changes were immensely popular within the Mississippi State fanbase, bringing a more traditional design to Dudy Noble Field's playing surface. |
2018-2025:
|
In 2018, Mississippi State began comprehensive renovations to Dudy Noble Field, effectively tearing down the old stadium and building a new one in its place. The new stadium meant new field dimensions - most notably a circular inset in the right field corner with a brick wall that forms the Adkerson Plaza. The visitor bullpen also moved to the playing surface, in foul territory past first base, while foul territory was reduced down both the right and left field lines.
Turf was installed for the entire warning track, remaining in all foul territory and in the home plate area. The "banner" logos remained in 1B and 3B foul territory. The 2019 and 2021 Starkville Regional and Super Regionals were all won on this field, with the 2021 victories being on the way to the Bulldogs' first ever national championship. |
