2019
4 Helmets, 4 Jerseys, 5 Pants, 9 Combinations In 2019, the second and final season under Joe Moorhead, Mississippi State's football jerseys saw a minor improvement in the form of a more-traditional collar, but combination selection was subpar at best. For the first time since 2008, white helmets were the most worn helmets at 7 (out of 13) games. Mississippi State wore two alternate uniforms in 2019: a an all-black look inspired by the TK Martin Center than received universal praise as one of the best alternate uniforms in the country in 2019 and a gold-accented all-maroon look for the Bulldogs' 21-20 Egg Bowl victory over Ole Miss. Along with most other College Football teams in 2019, State wore the CFB150 patch on the right shoulder in every game in 2019. |
2018
4 Helmets, 3 Jerseys, 4 Pants, 10 Combinations In the first season under Joe Moorhead, Mississippi State upgraded to Adidas's new PrimeKnit A1 template, which, among other things, moved some patches around, added stripes to the jersey collars, and removed the black number outlines on the maroon jerseys. The helmet decals were altered on the primary maroon helmets, which were only worn in the season opener. Matte maroon helmets, featuring silver facemasks, decals, and stripes, were added for the first time since 2015, and were worn 7 times throughout the season. In lieu of black alternates, gray jerseys were worn for the first time in program history in the form of the "Statesman" alternate uniforms, which were worn in a 52-6 win over Arkansas. |
2017
3 Helmets, 4 Jerseys, 5 Pants, 7 Combinations In 2017, the maroon jerseys were updated to match the white jerseys, removing the black from the collar and sleeves and replacing it with a white collar and white-gray-white sleeve stripes. The new maroon jerseys, which were paired with gray and white pants three times each, made for one of the Bulldogs' best home looks ever. Two alternate uniforms were worn in 2017, both with silver helmets. The black uniforms from 2015 were brought back for the UMass game, and all-Maroon Veterans Day uniforms were worn the following week against Alabama. Only 7 different combinations were worn in 2017, the least since 6 were worn in 2014. |
2016
3 Helmets, 4 Jerseys, 5 Pants, 10 Combinations In 2016, the Bulldogs removed all black from the white jerseys, adding maroon-gray-maroon stripes to the sleeves. The white pants were updated with maroon-gray-maroon stripes, as were the maroon pants with white-gray-white stripes, finally removing the oversized pants logo from the regular pants. Silver helmets were worn for the first time in school history and were worn with two different one-off uniforms: Patriots look a like uniforms for the game at Gillette Stadium and black American Flag uniforms for an upset of Texas A&M. The white helmets returned from 2015 and were worn in a 55-20 Egg Bowl win. Matte maroon helmets were not worn for the first time since 2010. |
2015
4 Helmets, 3 Jerseys, 4 Pants, 10 Combinations In 2015, the DWS 100 uniform design was carried over to full time. Several small changes (Maroon, White) were made, however, as the Bulldogs transitioned to Adidas's newest "Primeknit" template. Notable changes included the helmet logo, removal of shoulder numbers (a mistake that was corrected after the first three games), and the modification of the sleeve stripes and pants logo. Maroon pants, also bearing the oversized pants logo, were added. Gray pants with maroon-white-maroon stripes, reminiscent of those worn in the late 1980s, were also added. New black jerseys and pants were worn for a blackout game. White helmets were introduced for the first time since 2012 and were worn twice, once in the Egg Bowl vs Ole Miss. |
2014
5 Helmets, 5 Jerseys, 3 Pants, 6 Combinations The Bulldogs introduced a throwback uniform for the 100th Anniversary of Davis Wade Stadium in 2014. It became the go-to home uniform for big games; the Bulldogs finished the season 6-0 in the "DWS 100" uniforms. Special Egg Bowl uniforms were worn for the fourth year in a row, this time with a maroon helmet and chrome gold facemask. White versions of the throwbacks were worn in the Orange Bowl. |
2013
4 Helmets, 3 Jerseys, 3 Pants, 7 Combinations In 2013, the Bulldogs wore a maroon version of the snow bowl helmet in two games; a special Egg Bowl uniform was worn for the third year in a row, this time with a chrome gold helmet. |
2012
5 Helmets, 4 Jerseys, 5 Pants, 9 Combinations In the first year of the MSU Uni Tracker, the Bulldogs unveiled new Adidas-designed uniforms with ribbon stripes. In addition to the new regular uniforms, special uniforms were worn for the Egg Bowl and the Snow Bowl reunion vs. Texas A&M. Gray pants were worn for the first time since 1988, and white helmets were worn for the first time since 2008. A Bulldog logo appeared on a helmet for the first time since 1965. The 5 helmet designs and 9 uni combos were both by far the most in school history at that time. |
2011
4 Helmet, 4 Jerseys, 3 Pants, 7 Combinations 2011 was the year that Mississippi State really started experimenting with the uniforms. The silver outline was removed on the helmet logo, and a second helmet, matte maroon with a white facemask, was added. For the first time ever, specially designed uniforms with gold accents were worn for the Egg Bowl, a prelude to the redesign to come a year later. In the bowl game, a spaced out silver outline was added to the decal on the matte helmet. |
