In 2009, the Bulldogs underwent a complete rebrand, creating new logos (updated versions of which have been recently uploaded to Sportslogos.net), signing an apparel deal with Adidas, and hiring Dan Mullen as head coach. Prior to 2009, the Bulldogs had deals with Russell Athletic (2004-2008) and Nike (1995-2003). From 1996-2008, the Bulldogs only wore 5 different helmet designs.
Since 2009, however, they have worn 24 different helmet designs, some out of the box, and some differences barley noticeable. 14 of the 24 are variations of a maroon helmet with a white or maroon M-State logo. One is a white helmet with a maroon and white M-State logo, and two feature silver as a base color. Five include the color gold for the Egg Bowl. Two feature an oversized bulldog head logo.

1-14: Maroon helmets with a White or Maroon M-State logo
The first two years, 2009 and 2010, the design was the same: Shiny maroon shell. Maroon facemask. White M-State logo with an immediate silver outline.
The first two years, 2009 and 2010, the design was the same: Shiny maroon shell. Maroon facemask. White M-State logo with an immediate silver outline.
In 2011, the silver outline was removed, altering the design slightly. An alternate helmet, matte with a white facemask was added halfway through the season.
In the 2011 Music City Bowl, the Bulldogs added a spaced out silver outline to the M-State logo on the matte helmet. This exact helmet design was worn again in the 2014 Orange Bowl.
Adidas gave the Bulldogs their first uniform redesign in 2012, with the spaced out silver outline on the M-State logo and a white ribbon stripe on both the shiny and matte helmets. These designs were worn during the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons.
In the 2013 Gator Bowl (after the 2012 season), the Bulldogs wore the matte maroon helmets without the ribbon stripe and with the silver facemasks from the snow bowl helmets.
For the 2014 Season, the Bulldogs announced throwbacks to be worn for the 100th anniversary of Davis Wade stadium. The helmet worn with the throwbacks had a shiny maroon shell, a white facemask, no stripe, and the M-State logo with the spaced out silver outline. The helmet was the first with a shiny finish and white facemask in the Adidas Era. It was originally to be worn only once, but due to the popularity of the DWS 100 uniforms, it was worn 6 times, and the Bulldogs failed to lose a game wearing it.
In 2015, the Bulldogs maintained the DWS 100 uniform design but changed the helmet logo yet again. The M-State logo saw its biggest change yet with the banner becoming transparent on a white M, as opposed to the past 6 years where the M and banner were both white. The silver outline was maintained, but was reverted to an immediate outline, as it was in 2009 and 2010. This design was only worn for the first three games of the 2015 season.
The matte helmet was retained in 2015, but its design was again tweaked. The middle stripe worn the past three years was removed, and the logo was changed to the transparent banner M-State, just like as it had been on the shiny helmet to begin the 2015 season. Unlike the shiny helmet worn the previous three weeks, the logo had no silver outline, making it most similar to the original matte helmet design in 2011. The matte helmet was dropped in 2016- making it the first season since 2010 without a matte maroon helmet.
In the sixth game of the 2015 season, the silver outline on the logo on the shiny helmet was removed, making the logo more defined and vastly improving its look.
In 2018, the Bulldogs changed the primary helmet logo yet again, this time with a maroon M-State decal on the maroon helmets instead of a white one.
After a two-season absence, matte maroon helmets made a return in 2018. This time, they featured silver facemasks, a silver stripe, and a maroon M-State logo with a silver banner and outline.
The stripe was removed from the matte maroon helmets for the 2019 game at Auburn.
15: White Helmet
In 2015, the Bulldogs wore white helmets for the first time since 2012 and the first time with a version of the M-State logo since the end of the Croom Era in 2008. The white helmet was worn again in 2016, 17, and 18.

17-18: Helmets with silver as a base color

In the 2018 game against Arkansas, Mississippi State wore helmets designed after the "Spirit of G.V. 'Sonny' Montgomery" plane. The helmets featured a silver base with a black-maroon-black horizontal stripe and the "Mississippi" script on top of it, as well as all of Montgomery's service medals on the back.
19-22: Egg Bowl Helmets
The Bulldogs wore special Egg Bowl helmets with gold in the Egg Bowl every year from 2011 to 2014.
2011 was the first year of the special Egg Bowl uniforms. The helmet that year was the regular shiny maroon shell with a maroon facemask. The only difference was the spaced out gold outline on the M-State logo.

In 2014, the Bulldogs returned to maroon helmets for the Egg Bowl, this time with chrome gold facemasks.
