It was a rough week for Mississippi State Baseball; offense was nearly non-existent in the opening weekend of SEC play, and the relief pitching wasn't much better. There were really only two bright spots in the Bulldogs' 0-4 week: the starting pitching and the uniforms. Pilkington, Small, and Billinglsey all gave above average performances that kept the Bulldogs a chance in each of the Vanderbilt games; of course, none of those chances were taken advantage of.
The uniforms looked great as always; with only one midweek game, the black 85s did not see the field. Instead, the Bulldogs wore the white "State" pins in Tuesday's game at MGM Park against SE Louisiana. On Friday, the Bulldogs went with the maroon 85 over white look; it seems less and less likely that the maroon MS jerseys see the field this year. I'm ok with this; the changes made to them this offseason were a slight downgrade, and the 85s look better anyway. On Saturday, the white "State" pins were worn for the third time in four games. On Sunday, the White 85s were worn, completing the week with another great uniform, but unfortunately another loss.
Uniform Models for the first weekend of SEC Play:

Friday vs Vanderbilt- Maroon 85 over White- #17 Justin Foscue
Saturday vs Vanderibilt- White "State" Pinstripes- #5 Tanner Allen
