In what was another tumultuous week in a baseball season rocked by off the field drama, Mississippi State dropped a midweek game at Nicholls State and was competitive in all three games at LSU, winning the middle game to salvage a single win on the week.
Once again, uniforms were one of the few bright spots of the week. The gray pinstripes were worn twice, in the midweek game at Nicholls State and in the Saturday finale at LSU. The Maroon 85 jerseys were also worn twice, once with the white pinstripe pants (a Thursday loss at LSU) and once with the plain white pants (a Friday win at LSU).
