UPDATE: New White Pants for the 2016 Season were revealed after this post. Click here to read about that and more changes for the 2016 Season.
The 2016 college football season is right around the corner, with classes starting in mid-August and the Bulldogs taking on South Alabama to kick off the 2016 season on September 3rd. It's been a rather busy summer in the state of Mississippi, but almost none of the news has revolved around uniforms. Personally, ever since the 2016 baseball season came to an abrupt end, I've been focusing more on the political news and elections than sports, but that is a topic for another place.
In the first football season for the July 1st-launched hailstateunis.com, there just hasn't been much news in the way of uniforms. The closet thing to news is that fans have been instructed to "wear black" to the November 5th game vs Texas A&M, indicating that black uniforms, likely the same as those worn in 2015, could be worn again in that game. There hasn't been any indication that there will be any changes made to the 2015 uniforms, despite the fact that they could use some cleaning up.
So while the uniforms may well be the same, black outlines, pants logo, and all, the HailStateUnis uniform model of two years, QB Dak Prescott, will not be wearing them this year. As determined through a series of twitter polls, WR Fred Ross will be Prescott's successor for the 2016 season. Ross's name and number will appear in all pregame and general graphics for the 2016 season.

Each game in the 2016 season will have three graphics: Pregame, Postgame, and Postgame Pictures. Each pregame graphic will be tweeted out once the uniform combo for that game is known:
Once the uniform combination is known for a given game, be it the day before, hours before, or at kickoff, three images will be tweeted from the hailstateunis twitter account: one for the helmet, one for the jersey, and one for the pants. A compilation of the graphics for the known possible uniform elements can be seen below, and all of them can be viewed at this link.

On Sundays (or Saturday in the case of the BYU game), the postgame graphics will be finalized and an article will be posted to hailstateunis.com. Unlike past years, the uniform model in the postgame graphic will be an outstanding player from each game, instead of the same player each week.
So, that is a preview of what to expect from hailstateunis.com in the fall. Unfortunately there is not much uniform news or rumors to report on, but the moment anything pops up, you can find it here.
